Tihiorace and its members are particularly keen to support persons with disabilities. In recent years, we have demonstrated this support by accompanying disabled athletes in their attempts to compete the Athens Marathon.

The need to include athletes from this category in our own event, led us to create a new course to be inaugurated in Tihiorace 2020, on Sunday, 10 May 2020. This event will not be a race, it will be a 15-km trek on the rural road leading from Tihio to Potidania (asphalt) and back.

The event is open to disabled athletes and their escorts, who have taken part in wheelchair races and are capable of covering the demanding 15-kilometre distanced and the relevant ascent and descent.

Our aim is to allow persons with mobility limitations to enjoy the beauty of nature and the Greek mountains.

This event is free of charge.

The organizers will assist participants in finding accessible accommodation in the area.

All athletes must fill in the participation form and state their escorts’ details at the same time.
